The annual Master Builders Excellence in Construction Awards night took place at the weekend, bringing together the finest in the construction industry to celebrate outstanding achievements and innovative projects. The event, held at Crown Towers in Perth, was a night to remember, especially for Built Ink, as we proudly took home two top honors.
Built Ink shone brightly among the competition, securing awards in the following categories:
- Best Industrial Building $1.5million to $5million
- Project: Freight Road
- Details:Constructed using tilt-up methods, Freight Road features a workshop with a 5-tonne crane and a ‘T’ shaped office under steel roofing prepped for solar panels. Its aesthetic includes rust-red sunshade fins and native landscaping with sustainable touches like smart lighting. The project excelled in stormwater management and navigated site constraints with strategic problem-solving, reflecting its comprehensive and thoughtful planning.
- Best Industrial Building $5million to $10million
- Project: Martin’s Trailers
- Details: The basis of the brief was to provide a new facility for a third-generation business in the Bayswater area. Martin’s Trailers is a well known business synonymous with quality trailer parts. Design and constructed by Built Ink, this project set out to specifically address the needs of Martin’s Trailers growing demand. This approximate 5,200sqm facility houses both office, warehouse and workshop spaces and was required to consolidate their many smaller facilities into one site and had to pay homage to the Martin’s trailers legacy.
